As Commander Chris Hadfield prepares for his departure from the International Space Station (ISS) he leaves us with one last token from his time onboard the station. His latest upload to YouTube pays tribute to both David Bowie and his time in space as he sings a rendition of Space Oddity.
On 19 December 2012 Commander Hadfield launched from Kazakhstan and took command of the ISS on March 13 2013. Today Hadfield and his two fellow astronauts Tom Marshburn and Roman Romanenko make the descent back to Kazakhstan with an estimated arrival time of 10.31pm EDT.
Throughout his time on the ISS he has used the power of social media to create a buzz about space via regular tweets and Youtube videos.
