Lynx Deodrant’s out-of-this-world promotional campaign is offering regular folk the chance to get into space, travelling on the co-incidentally named Lynx suborbital spacecraft from XCOR Aerospace.
Launched on 11 January 2013 by space-veteran Buzz Aldrin, the campaign invites participants to register and compete for votes in their own country, with national winners going to Space Training Camp in Florida, from which the eventual astronaut will emerge.

Lynx brand manager Mark Aschmann said: “The Lynx Apollo launch is the biggest and most ambitious in the Lynx brand’s history. We’re simultaneously launching one global competition in over 75 countries offering millions of people the opportunity to win the most epic prize on earth.”
The spaceflight will be handled by Space Expidition Corporation (SXC), which plans to offer daily commercial flights into space from 2014 on the XCOR Aerospace’s Lynx suborbital reusable launch vehicle.
