Jaunary 2010 :: National Space Centre Ltd has taken possession from Eircom of the Earthstation at Elfordstown and will be implementing a multi-million Euro expansion and upgrade program to put the Elfordstown facility back into service.
Elfordstown originally opened its doors in1984 as a flagship European teleport, but has remained unused for several years.
National Space Centre has secured a number of contracts with global satellite customers who will broadcast from the Elfordstown site.
National Space Centre is a private company funded by private investment and Enterprise Ireland.
