National Space Centre is sponsoring for the sixth year running the Ireland Region prize in the prestigious European Satellite Navigation IDEAS Competition, established in 2004 and now with an overall prize fund worth in the region of €1m. The competition is backed by the European Comission and the European Space Agency (ESA). (pic. Ger MacCarthy)
Bright sparks are invited to submit business ideas based on satellite navigation applications to a central database and all entries will be assessed by an Irish adjudication panel who will select a winner to be put forward as Irelands representative for the overall title of Galileo Master.
The entry database will close on 30 June 2017.
The winning idea will also receive a development support and incubation package based at National Space Centre’s base at Elfordstown Earthstation.
